PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Water Technology, Inc. is a full-service aquatic consultant, offering a comprehensive array of services provided through its licensed, professional staff. While most facilities will not require our full breadth of services, we are well versed in all phases of aquatic facility development.

Through the Facility Evaluation process, we can assist the client in making informed decisions regarding options for a facility. Many communities and private sector clients contact Water Technology, Inc. for the purpose of extending or enhancing the life and revenue stream of an existing facility. The first step in this process is to evaluate the existing facility’s strengths, weaknesses and options.

A Feasibility Study can assist the client in preparing for the development and capital investment requirements of a new project. Taking stock of existing facilities, demographics, needs assessments and other pertinent factors is all part of the basic feasibility equation. To a client not familiar with the process, a feasibility study can seem an overwhelming task. We provide the tools necessary to obtain information that is crucial for developing the right facility for the community’s needs. Such questions as indoor verses outdoor, leisure verses competitive, size and scope of the project, budget, revenue and user population and demographics are all part of the process.

Clients are always involved in the Planning/Concept process. We bring to each project a team experienced in the programming and master planning of waterparks and aquatic facilities. Together we work to create a plan that enhances and optimizes all the possibilities. The initial planning process for an aquatic facility is perhaps the most important phase in determining the success of the project. We start by helping the client evaluate the site. Then we use our vast experience in the programming and master planning of parks, waterparks, and aquatic facilities to identify goals and objectives for optimum user benefit within the parameters of the site. This provides clear direction and sound footing for the project, and it is the first step in ensuring long-term success.

By working with the client to carefully assess budgets and programming needs and objectives, we can transform ideas into an original Design including exciting pool shapes, amenities and play features that serve each user demographic and bring patrons back again and again. We feel it is important to identify the goals and objectives of aquatic programming before developing a conceptual design for a new aquatic facility. We meet with the client and involved parties, educating and enhancing their awareness of the new trends in aquatics. Whether an activity pool, river, or a competition venue is required, Water Technology, Inc. provides complete aquatic mechanical systems design including circulation, filtration and disinfection. Construction documents and specifications prepared utilizing the latest in Computer Aided Drafting technology are part of our basic services. Coordination with local health departments at the early stage of the design process assures timely acquisition of important permits required to build and operate the facility.

Budgeting is critical. We understand the cost implications of every line we draw, and we can effectively correlate that information to the bottom line of each project we undertake. Developing and maintaining budget estimates and comparing these costs to similar projects helps Water Technology, Inc. maintain a comprehensive database of aquatic-related costs. We develop specifications for literally hundreds of projects throughout the country and overseas, and we use these materials on a daily basis to figure the most precise, cost efficient budgets possible.

We have the experience to guide the client through Construction Administration, but most importantly, we are committed to protecting the client’s best interests in providing the best product possible. Our involvement does not end with the completion of the construction documents. We understand, have worked with, and have had projects constructed by virtually every major pool contractor in the country. Water Technology, Inc. understands the construction process, techniques and schedule implications that arise as part of the normal build-out phase of a project. We use this knowledge to foresee unexpected problems and navigate past them before costly errors can occur.

The design of a successful facility goes beyond construction to Commissioning. Water Technology, Inc. makes a commitment to carry its design parameters and its technical support through opening day and beyond. Our comprehensive scope of services includes on-site start up assistance of the aquatic area mechanicals, features and systems.
